Join Environmental Educator Katie on a walk to meet the evergreens of Green Lakes State Park. Along the way hear stories about evergreens, including how they became Christmas trees. The walk will be between 1-2 miles on easy to moderate trails. Wear warm clothes and boots. Environmental Education Center/West Beach.

Winter Wildlife Hike

Join an educator on a short hike looking for signs of Green Lakes' wildlife. Along the way we'll explore some examples of the clues that animals leave behind. Bring the whole family! The hike will be along part of the lake trail, up or down a flight of stairs, over a grass/snowy field and along paved pathways. It will be less than 1 mile. Meet at the Environmental Education Center/West Beach.

Celebrate 2025 at Green Lakes State Park! The park has a easy flat trail that goes right around the edge of the lake. The gravel path along Green Lakes is two miles in total and is wheelchair and stroller friendly. Take in the picture perfect views of the natural meromictic lake. Please stop into the Environmental Education Center to pick up some First Day Hike goodies. Meet-up Location: Environmental Education Center, Approximate distance of hike: 2 miles, Leashed pets welcome.
