Fees and Rates

Most New York State Parks charge a vehicle use fee to enter the facility. Fees vary by location and season. A list of entry fees and other park use fees is available below. For fees not listed or to verify information, please contact the park directly.

Your key to all season enjoyment of state parks is our season's pass. For $65, the Empire Passport provides you unlimited day use vehicle entry into most of our parks. Apply on-line or call your favorite park for more information.

Vehichle Use Fee (VUF): $8 per vehicle *pool additional
Non-Profit Bus: $35 (requires tax exempt certificate)
Commercial Bus: $75
Swimming Pool: $2 Adults (10 years and older) $1 Children (under 10)

Reserved Picnic Shelters/Table Areas: $30 per 50 people
Shelter:     Additional $25 flat fee (3BS and 6CS)
                Additional $100 flat fee (4CS)

Picnic Application

Special Events Permit: $30/50 patrons (For hosting large events September through June)
Tac. Region Boat Permit: $30 (To place boat on lakes in the Taconic Park Region)
7-Day Boating Permit: $10 (To place boat on lakes in the Taconic Park Region)
Lake Access Key: $35 (To store boat at FDR State Park)
Rowboats: $30 cash deposit + $7 per hour (1-3 hours)
Over 3 hrs: $28 per day Cash Only
Paddleboats: $30 cash deposit + $5 per half-hour (2 hr. max)
