Summer Kick-Off Jamboree

Come celebrate the start of the 2015 camping season at Max V. Shaul State Park during the Memorial Day weekend Summer Kick-Off Jamboree! Plenty of local, live music, delicious food concessions and other vendors throughout the day. Plus, lots of fun for the entire family with field games, guided hikes and more! Admission is free to this event but a fee is charged for overnight camping at the park. Please go to http://www.reserveamerica.com to book a campsite at MVS State Park prior to this event.

Nature Trail Hike

Come explore the Max V. Shaul State Park nature trail with a guided hike led by one of the park naturalists! Hike participants will learn all about the local flora and fauna at MVS and witness signs of summer around the bend. Frogs! The Musical

Take the trip out to scenic Max V. Shaul State Park for a night with Frogs the Musical! Audience members will be thoroughly entertained with an original performance by the park education staff. Frogs! is appropriate for all ages and is free to the public. Meet at the MVS pavilion at 7 pm and feel free to enjoy a barbecue or picnic dinner at the park. Geocaching Workshop

Learn all about the modern day treasure hunt of geocaching at Max V. Shaul State Park. Meet at the park pavilion at 11 am for a background on geocaching before we grab a GPS and take to the trails in search of some caches. Remember to wear comfortable clothing and footwear.
