2015 International Coastal Cleanup

Join the world's largest volunteer effort for our ocean and waterways by participating in the 2015 International Coastal Cleanup.

This cleanup is a global effort, under the international umbrella of the Ocean Conservancy, in which over 100 countries participate. If you would like to be involved, become a VOLUNTEER by calling the park directly to signup and lend a helping hand. Certificates will be provided to each participant.

A fishing tournament for the largest Striped Bass and/or Bluefish.

Cash and equipment prizes will be awarded to the three largest bluefish and the three largest striped bass hooked and landed from the beach, surf, jetty, bank or pier beginning at the western most tip of Napeague State Park, encompassing all points east. There will also be an award for largest released striped bass. Only one prize per person, per species will be awarded. The awards ceremony takes place on Sunday at 1pm at the lower lot of Montauk Point State Park. You must be present to win.

Location: Waters from the western most tip of Napeague State Park, east. All areas must be accessible by foot or by wading.

Fee: $15.00 per participant. Please make checks payable to NHT-LI. You may apply in person up until 9am Saturday, Sept. 26 at Johnny's Tackle Shop, or by mail until Friday, Sept. 18. at 5 pm.
