Women’s Fly Fishing Initiative in Partnership with Trout Unlimited
Sunday, June 26, 2016 02:00 PM - 05:00 PM
Grafton Lakes State Park
(518) 279-1155

Are you ready to put the winter months behind you and get back out into the outdoors? Are you interested in participating in a wonderful and relaxing sport with a group of women who share the same interests?

Grafton Lakes State Park, in collaboration with The Homewater Chapter of Trout Unlimited, is hosting a program on June 26th specifically geared for women. As an extension of Trout Unlimited' s nation-wide Women's Initiative, attendees will learn about the history and mechanics of fly fishing and how women have become the fastest growing segment in the sport. The group head out to the park's ponds for a couple hours of fishing. Coaches will be on site to help with casting and provide overall guidance.

Rods, reels, and flies will be provided by the Homewaters chapter of Trout Unlimited. Waders will not be needed since we will be fishing from the pond's edge for this event. Of course, if you have your own equipment please bring it. The weekend of June 25 & 26 is "free fishing" in the park; no fishing license is required.
