I Love My Park Day

Join us at Grafton Lakes State Park in celebrating the fourth annual I Love My Park Day.

Help us beautify the park with trail and shoreline cleanup. Explore the park while helping to improve it for all the visitors in the months ahead.

From 9 AM to 12 PM, help your favorite park spruce up for Spring! Registration is from 9-9:20 at the Deerfield Pavilion with morning refreshments provided, a group photo at 9:25, and then it's off to your projects. We anticipate having light-duty projects for our scout troop participants of all ages, as well as for adult groups of outdoor enthusiasts.

All ages are welcome. Participants are asked to bring garden gloves, water and a snack.

No One Left Behind 5K Race and Children’s Obstacle Course

5K Race:
Course is a combination of paved and wooded trails and will be digitally timed by Albany Running Exchange Event Production. Sign-in at 9 am, race begins at 10 am, awards at 11am.

Open to all ages and all abilities. $15 when registering by May 15 and $20 day of the event.

Children's Obstacle Course:
Open to youth 12 and under $5 when registering by May 15 and $10 day of the event
The obstacle course runs 9 am to 11 am.

Spring Fungi Walk

Please join Mycologist, Sue Van Hook for the first morsels of spring fungi. We will walk the loop around one of the lakes in appreciation of all fungi, and will hope for a morel or two, oyster mushrooms and perhaps a fresh Dryad's sad-dle. Bring a hand lens if you own one. Sue will provide them for the group otherwise. Children make excellent mushroom hunters, so please bring them.

$10/person or family donation requested. Pre-register: 279-1155. Event meets at Shaver Pond Center, 194 Shaver Pond Road in Grafton, NY.
