"A Day in the Parks" is an exhibit of the Artists in the Parks Gallery, in the newly renovated Bear Mountain Inn. The exhibit will feature works created in, and inspired by parks all over the world.

The Artists in the Park Gallery is a collaboration between Guest Services, which manages the Inn complex, and the Artists in the Parks, a program of the Palisades Interstate Park Commission (PIPC). AIP is a group of dedicated and talented artists working in a variety of mediums, all sharing an inspiration and love for the outdoors. The group creates their individual pieces within the 20 parks and 8 historic sites managed by the Commission. Paintings, photographs, and woodwork by a range of talented artists in the Hudson Valley are on exhibit and for sale at the Inn. The theme of this exhibit celebrates the beauty of our parks.

There is admission charge to view the gallery. Gallery hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Sunday through Tuesday, and 9:00AM – 8:00 PM Wednesday through Saturday. For more information, please call 845-634-1710 or visit www.artistsintheparks.org

Come to Bear Mountain State Park on Friday, June 28th for the annual fireworks spectacular!

From 5 - 9 PM, visitors can dance to the sounds of Party Time Productions and children can enjoy the bounce house on the field. Bear Mountain's concessionaire will sell picnic fare from an outdoor tent and have merchandise for sale. The Merry-Go-Round will be open so bring the children for a fun-filled night. Arrive early as parking lots fill up fast!

Fireworks go off at dark. Parking is $8 per car.
Please note: Alcoholic beverages and personal pyrotechnics are not permitted.
