The NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) fully embraces Governor Cuomo's statewide initiative for
the use of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) as described in Executive Order #8 and Article 15-A of the
Executive Law. Consistent with the Governor's efforts, OPRHP is committed to promoting meaningful participation of NYS certified
MWBEs for agency contracts and procurements.
OPRHP will continue to undertake vigorous efforts to maximize MWBE participation in the areas of capital projects and
discretionary procurement of goods and services by directing procurement opportunities to MWBEs for open market and procurement card
purchases.
In keeping with this commitment OPRHP intends (as the fiscal climate allows) to offer training workshops with MWBE and NON-MWBE
contractors, subcontractors and regional staff to promote, support and offer guidance for our MWBE program.
