New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is a diverse agency with a variety of facilities. These include
parks, historic sites, properties, residences, administration buildings and other supporting infrastructure. The Capital Programs Bureau
within State Parks manages new construction and rehabilitation projects of these facilities.
The Capital Programs Bureau oversees planning, design, construction, repairs, maintenance and infrastructure. Administration of
these responsibilities is achieved through partnerships with consultants for design services and contractors for construction projects, in
addition to in-house staff.
Partnerships with design consultants are established through a qualification-based selection process. Construction contractors are
selected through a competitive bid process. Here, interested parties can access many of the forms, manuals and links pertaining to
the process that might be used in the course of their business with New York State Parks.
